RIM Playbook has it all !

RIM did unveil its first non-smartphone device today at the opening keynote event at its DevCon developer conference here. RIM is calling it the PlayBook.





PlayBook is aimed at people who do more work than play -so that RIM's calling it "the first professional tablet"--but the company is certainly not ignoring the world outside of the work place .  even though RIM is playing very heavily to its reliable, core audience of enterprise users, it's still making some heavy bold moves with a new OS that enables all sorts of fun, some silly apps (in addition to productivity apps), as well as adding a few features that even the iPad doesn't have.


This playbook going to buzz the market in early of 2011 for USA ! Internationally it will come out at second quarter of 2011 ! 


With Spectacular Features ! !


It has a 7-inch touch screen, is just under 10 millimeters thick, has a front and back-facing camera for videoconferencing, a 1GHz dual-core chip, and 1GB RAM, 1080p high-definition video playback, Wi-Fi, and supports HTML5 and Flash-based video.


it's not clear about how much internal memory will be integrated with that ! but the prototype shown in event that it can come in 16 gb and 32 gb varieties .


 RIM shows the ability to flush out other competitors because this playbook has more than required ! all the features are going to rock at this 2011 !


RIM also showed that its strategy is not limited to just offering new hardware. Even though it only recently announced its new BlackBerry OS 6, the company has also created a brand-new tablet OS for the PlayBook. It's called BlackBerry Tablet OS, and it's designed by QNX Software, a company purchased by RIM earlier this year

Will HTC leave behind Nokia, LG, RIM Apple with ranking at 4th?

Now in growing technology and new tech more competitors are there in the market. So, that I will talk about new company in technology in gadgets, mobile and smart phone developers. You know that Apple is making fantastic phone and smart phone like I-phone. And now Apple I-pad.

So, at talking about gadgets HTC is new in this field that you know. And I am saying that it will leave behind Nokia, apple and other leading company of gadgets. Yes, that’s right. This time of  generation is time to compete or die! Don’t worry it’s new motto by HTC as we can say! 

HTC is planning to ship an estimated 7 to 8 million smart phones in Q3 of 2010 and 9 to 10 million units in Q4, according to a DigiTimes report, and its second-half 2010 smart phone shipment volume will rank fourth behind Nokia (NYSE:NOK), Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) and Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). The company is planning to to launch new androids and windows 7 based models. In other case Apple’s shipment volume will decrease because of consumer purchases of the iPhone 4 peaked in Q3. 

SmarTrend is bullish on shares of Apple and HTC customers were alerted to buy on September 08, 2010 at  $261.75. The stock has risen 9.6% since the alert was issued.

HTC is accepting shipping of 7-8 million devices in Q3 followed by 8-10 million in Q4. And one thing these devices include Android and Windows Mobile, HTC is clearly setting their sights on being the top handset manufacturer in the world.

HTC has their hands full as they are gearing up to launch devices like the G2, MyTouch HD, Desire HD and Desire Z. They are going to be spitting out Windows 7-based devices as well. With this forecast, HTC will rank fourth among the top manufacturers like Nokia, RIM(Research In Motion) and Apple.

so, overall seeing the plan of HTC we can say that it's fstest growing company in gadget developement market.and it will top in next time.

RIM reports user base at more than 50 million

Research in Motion today reported higher than expected revenue for the second quarter of the fiscal year.

The company's second-quarter outlook from June pegged revenue somewhere between $4.4 billion and $4.6 billion, but the final reported amount came in a little higher, tallying $4.62 billion. The company says that's up 9 percent from the previous quarter.

Based on the GAAP accounting standards, net income for the quarter was $796.7 million compared with $768.9 million in the first quarter.

The handset maker also said that it had shipped more than 12 million BlackBerry devices in the quarter, the most it had ever shipped in that time frame. Additionally, the company reported a net of approximately 4.5 million new BlackBerry subscriber accounts added, bringing the total reported BlackBerry user base to more than 50 million--up 56 percent year over year.

During its second fiscal quarter earnings call, RIM's co-CEO Jim Balsillie, highlighted the launch of the Torch as being the company's most successful product launch to date. The company also estimated that it would continue to do well in Q3 and Q4 with upcoming launches in Mexico, Canada, and Europe, as well as the holiday shopping season.

Balsillie also touched lightly on RIM's efforts in the Middle East, where the company had been asked by the United Arab Emirates to make concessions on its data security earlier this year.

"On the topic of lawful access, RIM is continuing discussions with governments and carriers in India and the UAE, and they believe we have made good progress in those discussions," Balsillie said. "We are willing to comply, but we cannot compromise the security." Balsillie went on to explain that the company now has 250,000 BlackBerry servers worldwide, all of which are using the company's encryption processes and were a "fundamental part of [RIM's] business."

Answering an analyst question from Scotia Capital about RIM's efforts in China, Balsillie said the company was "uniquely positioned to be a very good citizen" there, and that it had "a lot of products" in the pipeline for release in China later this year. "We have to slowly and systematically do what we do. But I think we're rather unique in that way," he said.

One of those products in the pipeline, Balsillie said, would be announced at this month's BlackBerry Developer Conference. "I can't really give you too much there, but I think you'll be really interested there. More design philosophy aspects are going to come out there." Balsillie was responding to a question from an IBC Capital analyst who had asked about RIM's design philosophy. "It's dangerous to frame all this in a high-end arms race," Balsillie said. "If you saw the road maps, and saw the engagement strategies you'd see we're being prudent on these fronts."

Other items of note were that pre-paid phones have become an increasingly important part of RIM's business both internationally as well as in North America. In the U.S. alone, Balsillie reported that Sprint's Boost, Cricket Mobile, and Virgin Mobile had been "gaining traction" during Q2, and that the pre-paid phone business "represents a substantial opportunity because it makes up a large segment of wireless users around the world."

Lastly were phone applications, which Balsillie said now top 200,000 in RIM's App World store. Of those, the company reported 1.5 million apps being downloaded every day. That's up 40 percent from the same time last quarter.
